Mary Carol's Story
Over 11 years ago, Mary Carol Abercrombie of Greenville, S.C. noticed a mole on her calf. Her doctor and dermatologist told her they didn’t believe it was anything serious until they discovered it was malignant melanoma. She underwent interferon treatment but the cancer spread and her oncologist told her she had 3-5 months to live. He then told her about one of our clinical trials investigating the TLPLDC vaccine.
“Eleven years later I’m still here,” she said. “I’m not supposed to be here.”
